Founder and trustee
Barry has worked in the Financial Services industry for over 40 years. He started his business, formally Greenridge (life, Pensions & Mortgage Consultants) based in Wallington over 25 years ago…
During this time he has grown the business which resulted in the office relocating to Banstead in 2017. He is very proud of the good relationship he has built up with his clients over the years, many of which he now classes as friends. He has no plans to slow down anytime soon.
Barry has personally experienced first hand how long term counselling can help. He feels very passionate about the benefits and so set up Clear Minds with the aim of helping as many people as he can.
Trustee
My original career was in NHS management where I learned that sound self-understanding underpins good relationships which underpin good organisations. I later retrained and work as a psychotherapeutic counsellor…
I established a workplace counselling organisation in York, then in 2003 started Baobab Centre which provides counselling, coaching for Chief Executives and Director level staff, training and conflict resolution services for organisations in the public and private sector. In 2011 I established a project in Zambia, training teachers in understanding and supporting children and families struggling with all forms of abuse. My aim was that the project should be totally self-sustaining, which has been achieved. Undoubtedly my most challenging role and the one from which I have learned is in raising two amazing children.
